Honey & Barry Sherman Legacy Foundation: Inspiring others to support equitable care for Scarborough
In March 2024, the Honey & Barry Sherman Legacy Foundation committed an incredible $1 million to Scarborough Health Network (SHN) to innovate diagnostic imaging at SHN’s General Hospital. Committed to improving healthcare for communities in need, the Honey & Barry Sherman Legacy Foundation has extended their support to inspire others to give back.
This holiday season, in a powerful effort to encourage community giving, the Foundation has also pledged a $500,000 matching gift to double the impact of all holiday donations made from now until December 31.
“My parents believed in the power of giving to create meaningful change,” shared Alex Krawczyk, the Founder of the Honey & Barry Sherman Legacy Foundation and daughter of Honey and Barry. “We hope this match inspires others to join us in supporting SHN this holiday season.”
Every contribution made during the holiday period will go twice as far, helping SHN continue to deliver exceptional care and innovative health solutions to one of Canada’s most diverse communities. The generosity of donors—matched dollar-for-dollar—will support the historic Love, Scarborough campaign and ensure SHN can provide life-saving care now and in the future.
Now is the perfect time to make your holiday gift and be part of this remarkable movement of giving. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier future for Scarborough. To make your donation, visit SHNFoundation.ca/Holiday.
Let’s double our impact, one gift at a time.
