Alex Sherman Krawczyk Named to Toronto Life’s 2025 Most Influential List for Her Philanthropic Leadership
Toronto, ON, November 13, 2025 — The Krawczyk Family Foundation is proud to announce that Toronto Life Magazine has named Alex Krawczyk to its 2025 Most Influential List, recognizing her as one of the city’s leading philanthropists.
“I am honoured to be recognized by Toronto Life for the work of the Krawczyk Family Foundation to improve the experiences of Indigenous people within the health care system,” said Ms. Krawczyk. “The process of reconciliation is a lifelong journey that must be rooted in healthy, respectful relationship-building with Indigenous people and Indigenous-led organizations. ”
The Krawczyk Family Foundation works with Indigenous-led and community-focused charitable organizations to support healthy communities and further truth and reconciliation. To date, it has committed over $25 million to support Indigenous-led organizations and spaces. Recent gifts include:
- $11 million to support Indigenous wellness spaces at St. Michael’s Hospital and Providence Healthcare
- $10 million to MWG Youth and Family Wellness Camp, a year-round camp for Indigenous youth and their families in Kenora, Ontario
- $2 million to support the construction of the new home of Anishnawbe Health Toronto
- $2 million to RAVEN to support legal action to protect the rights of Indigenous Nations
Alex Krawczyk established the Krawczyk Family Foundation and the Honey & Barry Sherman Legacy Foundation to honour the philanthropic legacy of her late parents. Since their inception, the two foundations have committed over $70 million to charitable organizations across Canada.
