Mount Sinai Hospital Da Vinci Xi Surgical Robot: Less Pain and Shorter Recovery Times for Patients

The Honey & Barry Sherman Legacy Foundation has supported Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital to expand its Da Vinci Xi surgical robotics program. Surgical patients from across Ontario benefit from the Da Vinci Xi at Sinai Health with less post-operative pain, smaller scars, and shorter recovery periods.

This gift has contributed to the roughly 300 minimally invasive procedures, including gynecological, urological, and oncological surgeries, conducted using the Da Vinci Xi robot. It has also enabled increased use of the Da Vinci Xi to three days a week and provided more opportunities to train future experts in surgical robotics.
